I am currently a pastel lilac/pink (for some reason my hair looks way pinker in the photo than in real life) and I am hoping to achieve a light grey/silver. I dyed my hair using Directions Neon Blue and Cerise diluted.
I have just purchased Directions Silver in the hope it will tone some of the pink. If this doesn't make a huge difference, will my base be enough to take a light/mid grey dye?

If you dilute Alpine green (with silicone free white conditioner) it will tone the pink to a silver. Test on a strand first to get the dilution spot on, and make sure it is the teal shade of alpine green, not the more yellow based forest green colour they put out for a while.

Great, thank you! Last night I used clarifying shampoo and left on for 10 mins, it actually pulled a lot of the pink out and is definitely looking closer to silver today! 🙂
