Light enough for Aquamarine?

Good morning!  ;D

Round 2 of the bleach powder, shampoo & oils fading method has brought me more or less back to my base colour (yayyy!) with maybe a few lingering hints of greenishness, but it's basically kind of blonde .....

Picture taken indoors in natural daylight.

Question is, is this light enough for Adore Aquamarine?
I don't mind if it pulls a little turquoisey-green or fades to green, I'm planning on going green next anyway with Adore Emerald and Electric Lime but I really want Aquamarine hair!!!

Second question, should I do a k-pak protein reconstructor treatment before or after dying?  And how long should I wait between protein and dye?  (Can I do it the same day?)

I would say so. It'll definitely pull to the green side πŸ™‚

Got it on my head now.  Looks very dark out of the bottle, I'll post a results pic later/tomorrow/whenever it's dry.

Not sure I like Adore dye though, it's not as "slippy" as Directions, was impossible to comb through  πŸ™  maybe next time I'll mix a bit of a Directions blue in, or conditioner if it won't dilute it too much.
I'll decant it into a tub next time as well.

Aquamarine can take a lot of diluting before it affects the colour. I would recommend diluting it if you're not getting on with the texture.

Adore does have a strange texture, especially if you are used to cream based dyes. I find it needs applying with a brush, as it just won't squidge through the strands like Directions does. Or mix with a thick conditioner/hair mask.
The results are worth it though.
