Just curious about dying

My hair still have faded light blue in my hair, if I put pink over it; would there be any dramatic changes towards my hair or should I lightened my hair all over again before I put a new color in. I was just curious to what the changes would turn out to be like. I don't want to mess up my hair and have it turn out to be a color that I don't want.

How pale is your blue base? A picture would help if you have one. Pale pink will usually come out purple, more towards lilac if the blue colour is stronger, and more lavendery if The blue is quite subtle.

I have covered blue stained bases with strong pinks and completely covered The blue, with only a slight purple tint to The fade, so it depends on actual colour choice and what you are after really πŸ™‚

Okay thank you for your answer. I'll take a photo so you can see what my hair looks like. My hair has chunks in it, I didn't dye my hair completely blue but I see what you're saying about how the color comes out when you dye it over another. I want my hair to come out pink, I'll think I'll have to lighten my hair again to get the best results.

I would try some fading methods before going for the bleach. I have had limited success with getting blue staining completely out with bleach. The bleach powder plus shampoo and oils technique has worked really well for me (there's a thread on it in the tutorials section. I can't find it now as I'm on my phone)
But if you want a strong/bright pink it should be able to cover pale blue.

Strong pink should cover pale blue very well.  If you want a pale pink, though, it'll go lavender/lilac at first like Marthakins said--which I think would be really pretty!  A couple of redyes and it'll go to pale pink eventually (we call it going around the colour wheel).
