Would putting another coat of the rose red on help? I have plenty more! Or would it make it more red?

You know what, I'm sorry, I got it into my head it was Virgin Pink you were using.

Fade a bit, add more pink and then build on the pink with dye in your conditioner. I don't think your base needs to be paler, not for a dark pink.

thats how I would expect Rose Red to come out,  I mix a tiny bit of it sometimes in with pillar box/poppy  to get a more ruby tone to reds.  Cerise may be better, but on me at least, it starts out with almost a purpley pink tone to it, and then after a few washes is a lovely dark pink, till it fades more. 

You could fade it down a bit and dilute rose red with conditioner to bring out some of its pinkiness and reapply.

I wanted  more pink tone so I put some Flamingo Pink on top and I'm really happy with the result!
