I've just done a strand test (20v diluted 50:50) the thing is i have quite a few short bits from lots of strand tests so this one is still attached to my head lol!
I now am going to wait a month-6weeks to check if my hair can handle it
And there lies the problem. I want to lighten up my base to get a really bright highlighter pink, I'm kinda dark pink/majenta now. I want to be able to tell which bit is the strand so could i use the live ultra brights blue on it, both to tell it from the rest and so i don't have a half pink half honey blonde streak as i hear they wash out fast. Really don't want more staining lol!
Anywhoo any advice would be helpful 🙂
ETA i also have some smart colour blue, would that maybe fade faster as its cheapey?!

I think that's a good idea, and the smart colour blue definitely fades pretty fast, I used it once before when it was the only thing I could buy in my town and it really didn't last long at all so it would definitely come out in time for you to dye pink over it 🙂

I have never used either of those brands, so can't help there, but if I don't want to 'lose' a strand test in my hair I plait it and tie the end with a tiny rubber band. (I use the latex dog groomers bands, or horse plaiting bands, but I'm sure there are human ones available lol)

Haha lol @wickedpixie! I did that last night!! I did a paper test this morning to see which was the lightest blue and the live was an awful greeny bluey brown so that went in the bin! Just used the smart colour and it looks ok, more teal than blue but at least i can separate it lol! It also came off my fingers with water so hopefully it won't stain!
Funnily enough i quite like it, may do one on the other side!!!
