Is anyone else's hair really REALLY grabby?

I am discovering - you'd think I'd have noticed sooner really - that my hair hoooooolds on to colours like they're going out of business. I don't leave my colours on for hours or overnight because I'm impatient - I think three hours has been my longest, so it's not that.

I left this colour on for just under two hours. Nowadays I have to use lots of product on my short hair I'm washing far more frequently - every 2 or days - and with a sulphate shampoo (which honestly doesn't seem to make much difference to my hair) and this colour ain't going nowhere. It's still almost as vibrant and PURPLE as the day I dyed it; even my virgin roots are still pretty much purple. Being me of course I hankered after Pravana Violet for aaaaages and now I have it I want to change but *devil* argh!

HMPH. Stupid hair.

Also, even though I no longer want the purple, I don't know what I do want. Just... not purple. Or blue.

*censored*

I have left dye on for as little as 15 minutes and had it stick like heck. It was applied over deep conditioner too! That was the first time I tried MP Wildfire. It didn't budge until I touched up my roots and it got bleach over it.

Yes! I've had CC Sky Blue for over a month now, I wash my hair every other day or so with a Lush showergel or shampoo. And it's hardly faded at all. Even old Directions Turquoise didn't stick like this, haha. I've purchased some decolour remover and am wondering if it'll shift the blue at all.

Blue Velvet stayed in my hair for ages, even while force fading it, and cupcake pink was pretty sticky, too.

Everything else has been pretty much what I expected, though.

I find it really difficult to remove colours from my hair, it's so fade resistant. Which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't want to change my colour every few weeks lol.

Oh yeah. I'm completely sick of pink! Lol!

This is my vr after 2 bb's. It's probably a great colour - I'm just bored of pink!  *whistle*

pravana violet is very very pigmented color, i had just small bit of it diluted with loads of conditioner and left it for 10 min and it came out almost dark vibrant purple (i was going for more of a pale shade). Also pravana usually starts fading after few months, few people said color was vibrant after 4 months, it really is extremely pigmented dye. Good thing is when i used box hair lightener it went away instantly, like the moment lightener touched my hair it turned pale yellow. So i would recommend you to try some bleach baths 🙂

Nah it's not just the Pravana; it's all dyes I've tried. Like Marthakins I want to change my colour pretty much constantly but I just can't fade quick enough! The absolutely worst was probably Directions Coral Red - I just could not shift that to save my life.

Blues and any red tones are the worst on me I think, I really want to dye my hair orange but I don't think I'll ever get it out if I do.

I know it's awful isn't it :p the minute I achieve the colour I want I suddenly decide I must have something completely different.

When I mixed atlantic blue and apple green to get a darker green, It stuck on so bad that it was still pretty green on those spots after trying to fade it. My roots(that where just apple green) where almost completly yellow. I had no choice than to bleach out the colour. I wanted to go back to red and luckily the red covered the green amazingly. It was in very bad condition then, but it's way better now, been about two months now.

Well, I tried a decolour remover and it did squat for the cc sky blue. xD

It's here to stay!

WAT?! Is it hard to remove every blue or just the cc one?

in my experience I have struggled to remove every blue I have used. But different people's hair can react differently.

I found SFX Blue Velvet and Directions Midnight Blue relatively easy to get rid of, but CC Peacock Blue, Directions Turquoise (old) and SFX Blue Mayhem difficult to shift. And the blue staining from the new Direction Plum seemed pretty much permanent - I had it cut off in the end (for other reasons though).
