Hi guys! Third attachment with the dip dye is me, I'm so nearly there with what I want to achieve though I think it will take a little patience as my base colour needs to fade a little more (still a little stained with brown dye making it a tad muddy. Colours used are SPFX Fishbowl and a little Pravana Mystical Mint on the tips though this didn't really come through.
I am keen to achieve a vibrant mint like the two pics attached, looking at these perhaps they are a tad more on the blue side than green? I know the girl with the choker used a mix of Arctic Fox colours (iris green, arctic fox and Aquamarine) over Pravana Mystical Mint and Manic Panic Sea Nymph but that is such a cocktail I don't know how I'd replicate it! What blend would be ideal to get this super vibrant mint green on the sky blue side? Thank you kindly! Will update as I play around.
I have mint on my tips ATM, (its a gradient from lilac through blue to mint) and the best and most vibrant mix I have used to date is Adore Aquamarine diluted in conditioner with a touch of Directions Fluorescent Glow. You could substitute any deep turquoise and neon yellow though
Flo glow does make the prettiest turquoises and mints. They have that glow like the first one. You only need a tiny bit normally.
Thank you ladies!
Revisiting this briefly in order to keep my options open. What would be the appropriate tweaks to this formula considering my current base? Got more colour remover to do to deal with the clarity of the blonde but doubt it will go very much lighter as it is what it is. With this much yellow in my base already should I forego the Flo Glow or will a dot in with the diluted aquamarine still be a good plan? Thanks gurus! π
Flo glo is the part that makes it a slightly neon mint. Without it there just won't be that glow. It's not even really about it being yellow, it's the kind of yellow.
Again though, as I've mentioned at least a couple of times, you can do a darker version over the top part. The real trick to you getting pastels is doing an ombre and having a slightly darker colour on the darker parts. Then you can blend it into the paler colour at the bottom. You should be able to get a slightly darker version of the top two over the very bottom part of your hair.
