It does that. I've used SFX Blue Mayhem, Electric Blue, Blue Velvet, Blue Haired Freak and a variety of Directions and CC blues, and out of all of them I found the best ones were the SFX for lasting power, with Blue Velvet slightly more stable than Blue Mayhem. All I can really recommend is to wash your hair less often, cold water etc. and redye to touch it up. It really is so hard to keep my blue looking vibrant, so I know your pain.

i used to use cherry bomb for red hair, and i mixed it with conditioner  to touch it up every other wash. its so difficult to do when you have 2 colours in your hair. i might just have to do it again and beg someone to help me, wouldnt wanna dye my pink >.<

Depending on which dye you use, keep it in for 3+ hrs when doing your initial dying. Apart from that, wash your hair with cold water, mix some blue dye with your conditioner. I have my hair bright blue and I'm also struggling to keep the dye in, but I am a bit of a sun lover so thats probably why mine isn't lasting as long lol

Blues are normally harder colours to maintain and as you have two colours in your hair I would suggest washing the blue separate and using the blue dye in the conditioner trick to give it a little top up after each shampoo. Also as typhoid says wash in cold water, wash hair less, possibly use a dry shampoo?   I have never had much luck with blue dyes myself as my hair does not take them very well so I cannot speak from experience but Special Effects Blue Velvet has some good feedback/reviews and may be worth a try - Blue Velvet Photos & Blue Velvet Reviews

Blue mayhem really is a lovely colour, but for staying power, no its not amazing. I've kept it blue for about 2 weeks at most, i believe.

The best best way is to get your hair bleached practically white first, then apply the dye straight after and leave it for several hours (keeping it moist). Wash in freezing cold water with sulphate free shampoo (osmo essence is good if you want a recommendation). when rinsing, you might rinse with diluted vinegar. Then, deep condition the hair to really seal it in.

AVOID SUNLIGHT. Try to avoid heat too, and only wash hair as needed (i see your blue is underneath - you could get away with only washing that every other time you wash and only washing your pink roots). Putting blue in your conditioner won't mess up your pink, so thats worth a try.

In my experience, the 2 main things are - avoiding sun and having very light hair before adding the blue. (i hear blue velvet lasts longer, or if you can get your hands on pravana).

Blue velvet is the way to go, I've tried all the blues but always go back to this one, it lasts for at least 3 weeks without the need to reapply.

Ermm tbh I've found the SFX blues to be quite good, but maintainance is crazy. However I have found while mixing some directions dyes (Neon blue and Alantic blue) that the dye keeps it's vibrance for longer. But in general, I've haven't found a blue dye that keeps its brightness for very long.

SFX Blue Mayhem - Very bright and vibriant. Fades to a lilac colour. holds for about 2 weeks before fading
SFX Blue haired Freak - Not as bright and fades quicker than Blue Mayhem. holds for about 10days before fading.

Directions mix 50% neon blue, 50% atlantic blue - Very bright and vibriant, fades to neon. Holds for about 2 weeks before fading.

Although it's worth noting that i'm constantly out in the sun, so the timescales for blue dyes in my hair will probably be a lot shorter than normal.

I've been using Directions Neon Blue for the past 5or6 years and it's been the only blue dye that lasts for roughly 1month. I have to get my base colour very pale blonde first, but once i've dyed it, i don't need to redo it till a month later, even then i sometimes don't bother 'cause it fades to a pale blue without looking grey and has no green tones whatsoever! I've just recently tried Lagoon blue that kept staining my hands even after the 3rd wash. it's now a sea green/blue in parts that didn't bleach pale enough but everywhere else it looks good enough for summer.
I still think Neon Blue is THE BEST BLUE DYE EVER!!!!
