Hi *waves*
I currently have a light blond, almost white color in my hair and I want to dye it a "mid-dark silver" color, kinda like this:
What kind of colors do I need to mix? I'm pretty sure I need to mix violet and blue, but directions (I can only order directions from where I live) have like 3 diffrent purples and blues, so which one should I choose?
Many hugs,
Eliza
Directions Silver will get you to that colour if your hair is light enough. Neon Blue can also be used diluted to make a silver toner or added to the Silver.
Neon blue works pretty well as a toner. Violet was a total waste of money for me - it didn't really dye my hair and I couldn't see any difference when used as a toner as well...
Wicked Pixie: I really don't want to spend much money on a pre-made toner since I have kinda thick hair and I need like 3 jars of directions π What's the diffrence between neon blue and midnight blue? I've heard that you can use midnight blue to tone your hair to silver.
Realize: Okay thank you! I rarely use violet as a toner, just when i need to get a cooler tone to my hair. But it only works on really light hair, which I don't have right now...
Midnight blue is much darker and not as purple based. Neon Blue is pretty dark, and goes a long way when diluted, it would be a better choice than Midnight IMO, you need some purple in there. If you already have it in, try mixing with some pink and diluting. I have had the best results using Neon blue as my base for toners though.
Wicked Pixie: Thank you! I will order Neon Blue right away, with that color, would I need to mix in some purple/pink in that or is neon blue just enough? π
It can be used on its own for silver on very pale hair (it is very similar to the Silver toner when diluted) You may need some pink/violet if your hair is very yellow.
Wicked Pixie: My hair has a light green/blue hue (becaus it was previously green, lik in my picture) so then I won't be needing any pink or violet, right? π
