How Can I Make This Better?

I bleached my reddish/brown hair about two weeks ago. It came out orange-y/yellow. I knew I didn't want it too light because I wanted the teal to be darker and richer. I dyed over this with Argan Oil Electric Teal. The first picture  is what I ended up with, which was not what I wanted. It's too green, too light and I would like suggestions on how I can make it look more like the 2nd picture. Thank you all in advance!

Re-dye it, but add some blue. It's not really too light, it just lacks some of the intensity of the photo you want. Dying over what you have, but as I say with some added blue, will give it more intensity. Also, the photo is in full sunshine and is likely tweaked so it's more highly saturated in colour, this gives the hair an extra intensity it's difficult to replicate in reality.

Thank you. Do you think I should go over it with the Electric Teal mixed with blue or just a blue color on it's own? Also, I do realize that exact tone and depth is probably inattainable. Ironically, I work with colors all day long, but matching a paint color and tweaking a hair color are a lot different.

They're not as different as you'd think. The only real difference is taking into account what the base colour of the hair is. As your's is about right now, just not blue enough, it doesn't matter. We very frequently use the paint colour example to help people understand how to mix the colours they want. Direct dyes like these are basically conditioner with pigment in, so in other words, paint.

You could go over it with just blue, but I think mixing the exact colour you want in the bowl will help get the colour you want and is likely to help with the intensity of the colour. Just make it a little bluer than you want the colour to end up. However, you could just try a strand test with blue, it's possible it will work.

Thank you for the explanation. I think I'll try both and strand test to see which I like better.

You may have already done this by now, but I have had similar hair colours so i thought i'd chime in! When my hair was somewhat similar to what yours is now, only a bit less vibrant, I dyed over it with manic panic voodoo blue to get a colour that was similar to the one that you're going for. It was a bit bluer right off the bat, but as it faded it would get a bit more green. Green seems to really latch into hair, so lately i've been adding very bluey turquoise to my hair when i do touch ups and after a couple of washes it gets to the turquoise i'm going for. Sometimes i throw in a bit of atomic turquoise to brighten it. How did yours turn out if you've done it? I'm always curious what other people are doing with these colours.
