Which directions or other hair dyes are highly pigmented orange? and reds that are highly orange base. Got to cover my faded plum/blue directions for work.
Directions works pretty good on my hair, but happy to try other products too
Thank you π
SFX Nuclear Red is very pigmented, extremely long lasting and has an orange base but it is VERY bright, like highlighter pen bright. I think at times when I couldn't get hold of SFX I used to use Directions Vermillion or Flame. I really liked Adore Cajun Spice when I had to go more natural though, it wasn't as long lasting as some other colours but it was a really nice shade and had good coverage. (it's really quite a natural auburn though if you were looking for a red or orange that is still quite bright it might not be to your taste)
Napalm orange looks pretty orange, if I mix that with nuclear red, that should make it a good orange to cover the turquoise and hopefully make my medium brown roots orangey too..
Otherwise Flame with Mandarin from directions?
Trying to stick to buying from one brand, as it will be cheaper π I've just not used oranges or orange based reds before so just wanting to make sure I can go bright but not neon bright
I don't find Mandarin to be very pigmented - it's a bit feeble, in my opinion.
I used Hi-Octane Orange on my boyfriend and that's quite a red-tinged orange (and is powerful!).
I'm deffenitly want to be orange instead of red, but understand that I might have to add a bit if orange based red. ..
Are any of the oranges by directions any good?
I found the directions oranges all had a weird muddy fade on me. Adore do some nice ones but they're not as long lasting. The SFX ones are very bright indeed and I found they didn't stick to my natural roots at all, not for more than a couple of washes, but then again no direct dyes stick to my roots.
