Help me fight the urge!

Having dyed my hair Alpine green exactly one month ago, Im already annoyed at how much its faded. Dont get me wrong, I love the colour its faded to, but cos im growing out my hair and havent bleached for over a year, my roots are getting more and more obvious as the alpine fades to a lighter turquoise colour. Also, my fringe seems to be in two layers, the underlayer being my darker root colour with alpine on, and the top layer is the faded alpine, and this streaky look manages to make my fringe look greasy and separating (if you know what i mean) even when its clean =[

The past few days Ive looked in the mirror and just gone 'thats it, im dying my hair dark brown and forgetting all this' then my brain kicks in and tells me its not that easy and I'll regret it.

So, I *think* what i want is still green, but a much darker greener green (like the colour of my roots still is) that a blue based green that the rest of my hair is.

How would I achieve this? adding ebony to the alpine? I heard someone somewhere added yellow to the alpine to make it more green, should i mix up alpine, ebony and a yellow colour? aghh all the questions?!!! someone help me!  *ott*

id add some ebony to the alpine to make it darker. also it tends to stick better after a 2nd dye in my experience. if you want it more of a bright green then add in some yellow. but i think ebny is the one =)

defos dont go brown. i'll dis own you....

Yeah, a touch of ebony. I nearly always do a reapply a week or so after my first dye, I don't like fade much! Like Pippa says, after the second dose, I've found most last way longer.

It's green based as far as I'm aware, so should take it more to the green side.

Okay, i hope so. Or, do you think I should buy apple green and add some ebony? or will that go a murky colour? Sorry for all the questions, I have to buy like, 8 tubs of dye to cover all my hair so wanna get it right or itll be an expensive mistake lol

Alpine is very bluey, so I would avoid it if you want a true greeny green. I would give Apple a whirl myself.
