Help! I need advice on fixing my grayish hair to purple or blue

Okay so...I had originally auburn faded hair. Before that it was bright red and had a lot of layers of dark auburn hair color that had all faded. I decided to use a color remover which made it a dark strawberry blonde. Then I used clairol 7th stage with 2 activator packets and bleached the rest. I did it a total of 3 times in 4 days. Each time I conditioned overnight, so my hair is still pretty healthy just the very ends need chopped (i'll do that as soon as I achieve a semi decent color.) Well my roots went platinum with yellow undertones, the ends,  some were blonde, some orangey. I used a wella T-18 toner twice, removed some orange but not a tone. My hair was a super faded orangey blonde, but very pale. I looked dead lol.

SO I had a friend suggest dying it all purple so that it would even out the orange and I could eventually dye it blue. Great theory right?!  *ott*

NOW my roots are NEON blue (I love them) But the rest is a faded merky gray except for a few patches of lavender. But mostly it's all really dark. I used Manic Panic's Purple haze and N'rage's Purple Plum, only because I didn't want to wait for some privana to come in the mail while my hair looked atrocious.

I'm completely out of ideas. I'm trying to fade the purple with some dandruff shampoo and vit c. But I could use another gentle color remover and try something else? Ideally I want a SUPER bright royal blue or a gorgeous purple. I'm open to ideas on different shades, not super picky, I just would like my hair to look more uniform and PRETTY! πŸ™‚

Sorry for the essay but I wanted to be thorough! Thanks <3

The link is to the color I was originally going for πŸ™‚

Hey could you try using either directions plum that will fade to a blue but be warned it is a nightmare to get out it will cover an uneven base too πŸ™‚ or directions midnight blue that should cover and even out it might just be darker in places, I have just put midnight blue diluted 50/50 with conditioner and I have a really pretty inky blue

The colour on your picture is pretty much what I had with directions midnight (over neon blue). It's relatively forgiving, I just found it faded kinda fast

I think SFX blue velvet will match that colour πŸ™‚ I had it over a ginger base and it turned out almost exactly like that picture! It's an ink-like blue that fades purple.

Thank you guys! I ended up using a gentle colour remover on my hair because I just wanted to fix it! Now my roots are brighter, but fade better into the rest of my hair which turned a pretty aqua but it's pale.

I think I'm going with the SFX Blue velvet actually. How long should I leave the dye in to make the color really bright? But not too terribly dark? πŸ™‚

I would dilute the dye with conditioner (it is almost black otherwise) then leave it on a long time, ideally overnight if you can.

I left it on for about 2,5 hours and had like 60 % dye and 40 % conditioner πŸ™‚ worked like a charm!

EDIT: Here's a link to what my hair looked like, and the fade as well πŸ™‚

I just wanted to make a note that it can take up to a month for the damage to show up on your hair and conditioners (especially deep conditioners) tend to just coat the hair in silicones and mask damage.

You probably want to get some good reconstructors, because you've done about six month's worth of processing in one week.

Also, the colour might drop out of your hair relatively quickly, because it may be more damaged than you think.

I hope you can get the colour you want with Blue Velvet, good luck.
