So i've always wanted white hair, and after trying to stave off the blonde/white jealousy for this long I finally cracked and decided "I'm going platinum".
I thought I was being very careful and doing all the right steps by decolour removing as much as I could (get a brown and turquoise cruella from my previous black and purple one) and by only bleach bathing once a week, babying my hair in between (the turquoise side only took one more bleach before going white which was a win). I bought all the right products, so I thought, with K-Pak and hydrator conditioner, coconut oiling my hair and all of the lovely tips I've acquired from the forum, however after 4 weekly bleach baths on my perm black side, its given up and started snapping off, i'm left with half white and half pale ginger and now i'm stuck on what to do.
I had previously bought white extensions to hide the ginger side with and was managing that quite well, but I'm unsure what options I have left, i'm booking myself in for a hair cut at some point next week so I can get the worst of the damage out of my hair and try and save the rest, however I now know I can no longer bleach that side as it's just not happy anymore.
I'm debating either just bleaching my regrowth and eventually grow out the ginger, which i'm more than happy with doing, or buy pink dye and begin experimenting with pastels on the white side (which was my ultimate goal at the end of all this), and dying the ginger side a medium light pink as I reckon it'll take on that base and blending everything in together to get a reverse pink ombre... But i'm really stuck and I need help from you guys π how do i save my hair so I don't have to chop it all off and not cry everytime I see a long piece of hair break off.
TLDR; Overbleached my hair, half of it's white, half a pale ginger, need help on fixing my hair and whether to dye it one whole colour, or grow out the damage since I love the white.
Hair can only take so much, even if you do everything right like you did. Remember it was already processed before from a permanent black and whatever other processes you may have done to it before too. I'm really sorry that happened to you, but you're not alone, I'm sure most of us here have overprocessed their hair at least once. Getting a cut is the best thing you can do to remove as much damage as you can so it doesn't travel farther up.
I think doing another cruella would be cool, doing one side pastel and the other side a darker version
Or you can keep on deep-conditioning them, like keep the coconut oil or joicos for few days in your hair and then see how it goes. you've got nothing to loose. It's quite cold so get a beanie or a hat, if you have to go out :p
I think you will feel a lot better once you have had it cut. Maybe go for something asymmetrical, it will help disguise the fact that half needs cutting due to breakage and then emphasise it further by keeping half pastel and the other half funky colours.
I agree with Wicked Pixie about the asymmetrical cut. However, I'd say if you really were dead set on white, to keep bleaching the roots while growing the ginger out. The advantage of getting a short asymmetrical cut is this would be a relatively quick process. I only say this because I also tried my best to get white hair at one stage (did eventually manage it, but was fried so kinda not worth it), and though I've given up on it now, the desire for it hasn't gone away. So, if you really did want it, it'd be worth the patience of growing it out, rather than risking staining with other colours and never being able to get it. But if you don't like that idea, I think a pastel/darker colour cruella would be awesome too π
I think darker pink on the one side and pastel pink on the other would be so cute! But if it was up to me everyone would have pink hair! π
If you get a toner with a blue base, like a cool blond sim and only only put at ginger hair it take the ginger out
I would get some Marocin oil treatment for hair

Thank you guys for all the replies, I've managed to get it back to being manageable by getting a cut. I also started to miss a bit of blue with my conditioner so now the ginger is a lot less obviously ginger... I've ordered some Pravana silver and was planning to use that as a last ditch attempt to tone the ginger to something not too far off what I want. If that doesn't, going to stick with the half pastel half mid colour π
Thanks again, this made me feel a lot better in my time of need<3
