I just used colour b4 to try and help fade my already faded pink so i could use atomic pink. Put the colour b4 on, just washed it off and it is BLUE!!!! What can i do?? Really dont want to bleach but there is no way i can put pink over this!!
Please help me :'(
You could use another Colour B4 and hope it gets rid of the blue?
Or if it's just a light blue just put AP on top of it, it won't be ugly, but it might be purplish.
A photo would probably help π
do you have any pictures of how it is now? like how blue is it? You could try washing it a few times with some fading techniques (lemon juice and bi card method) to try and get rid of the blue. depending on how blue it is the atomic pink may just go abit more purple
I cant post a pic as at work and cant resize it. Its not looking as dark npw its dry but its still not good. I have waited over 12 months to use atomic pink and now im further away from my goal tjan i was when i started. Im gutted. Feel like crying :'(
if its not to dark or bright, you could try a bleach bath to help get rid of it abit more if you really dont like it. Then put the pink on, it Putting the atomic pink over the blue will probs turn out really pretty and multi tonal, some bits might come out abit more purple some bits will be pink but it will look good! π
I would try another colour remover, or some other fading methods. Once I got a whole traffic light of colours from using a colour remover on pink (it was literally banded in pink/red, orange and green) but a second colour remover took it all out bar a smidgen of the green.
Meeshybop had this happen to her a while ago, hopefully she will pop by
I have another box of colour remover on now. Also bought some more clarifying shampoo. Really hope i can get rid of it, i want my pink back π
i get the feeling it might cover well, after all, it was pink in the first place ykwim?
Sometimes, when fashion colours are attempted to be removed, only a partial removal is achieve. Pink, oddly is made up of multiple colour molecules which all leave the hair at different times as they are all different sizes. Blue on green are the last colours to be removed which leads me to think only a partial removal has been achieved.
You may need a second application. If you do proceed with a second application of ColourB4 ensure you clarify your hair for three washes with a non-silicone based clarifier. Apply ColourB4 on your squeaky clean hair whilst dry and leave for a full 60 mins rinse according to instructions and donβt cheat! If you rinse for less time your hair will go back to the previous colour in the morning. I will explain more when I have seen your hair.
You then need to adopt the following short maintenance program:
Preparation β deep clean your hair with a non-silicone clarifier like Medichemβs B4U Colour (available from Boots and Superdrug). The clarifier will remove any dirt, pollution, residue product, chlorine, build-up and temporary colours.
ColourB4 β apply in sections and saturate the hair, use a wide tooth comb to ensure even spread. Cover in cling film and a towel and leave on for 60 mins. Ensure you are in a warm room with no draughts but plenty of space and ventilation for any fumes from the product. Rinse for 10 mins, towel dry to damp and apply half the buffer, rinse for 5 mins and repeat with the other half. Only use warm or hot water. Dry naturally. Do not use a conditioner or any hair products.
After β use a non-silicone shampoo for 3 days like Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo and do not use any hair products during this time. After 3-5 days you can use a true semi permanent (no peroxide or ammonia) colour such as Wella Colour Fresh or Nice and Easy Level 1 (no peroxide or ammonia) immediately after using ColourB4 to obtain a short term shade. Check your new colour reveal in daylight and decide on your next steps.
I hope this helps π - this worked for me!!
Its sorted! I stopped panicking and just wacked on a few more removers and a few fairy liquid washes which took me ro base with a few pastely blue and purple bits. Slapped the ap on and bingo! Phew that was a dodge, thought i was going back to darks for a while!! Will update timeline with pics over the weekend! π
@ swilks, you were right. Coverd like a dream. Its more even than when i started!!!!!
I'm glad you got it sorted, I can't wait to see π
I'm so glad you managed to get it out!
I always wonder what my virgin rose would do under colour b4, i know nothing happened to it before when it was atomic pink lol
