Hey everyone. I'm new here. My name is Sammi. I did have bleeched hair and dyed it blue (make directions). when it started to fade i dyed it green (same make) and i have tried these to get the green out.
* vit c
* bicarb
* clarifying shampoo
* ketchup
* washing up liquid
* bleeching
* colourb4

But none of these has worked and i look like a canery with yellow roots and the rest of my hair is mint green! If anyone knows anything i would really apreciate it! Thanks πŸ™

Oh and colourb4 which was rubbish!

When you say you've tried bleaching, what do you mean?  did you try to bleach it again, take a bleach bath, or...?

What kind of blonde shade are you after? do you want a really light blonde or a medium, warm one?

I bleached it all over hoping it would get rid of it (thanks to seeing lots of yt videos and worked for them) but not me. I did want it like a warm blonde if possible.

Hmmm I'm afraid your hair is stained if a full bleach didn't take it all out. Green is a stubborn color... and I might be wrong but I think that a warm blonde might be possible over your base. But you might need to go to a salon and have it fixed by a professional... I personally think that blonde is a tricky color to try to get at home, so many shades and so hard to get it very natural-looking.

I do hope that it is possible. I certainly wont be using blue or green again lol. Its been a nightmare! I went to a salon who said they wouldn't touch my hair until the green is almost gone so i tried everything i could find and nothing worked so i bought a box dye as i am so fed up. My hair is in bad condition thanks to trying all of the above in a month. X

No need to use a box dye, it will possibly trash your hair if it is already damaged.
You just need to neutralise the green tones with a diluted reddish orange. This should give you a more natural colour and a better base to put a blonde toner over. If you get it spot on you may be able to leave it at this point. Superdrug have a few red shades in their Colour Episodes and Colour effects range, or you can make a toner with a smidge of orange based red in conditioner.
If it is still not the shade of blonde you want, for very damaged hair i would use Wella Colour Fresh which doesn't use peroxide. If you think your hair is up to it you can use a deposit only dye with a very low vol peroxide, no more than 5 vol. You can use a box demi, but pick a shade lighter than you want as it will come out darker and replace the peroxide that is included with 5 vol . You can buy very low vol activator lotion for deposit only colours or dilute 10 vol.
You must neutralise the green first though, or it is likely to show through blonde shades.

I'll try and pop over to sallys and see what things they sell to deposit abit of red in my hair. Many thanks! I already used the box dye and thats how i ended up looking like a canery lol. i've been treating my hair with hot coconut oil and its slowly getting better. If i knew it would be such a ball ache i would never of touched the  blue or green haha.

If you are in the UK try the superdrug ones, they are really cheap and very good.
You will have to lighten your roots further if you want an even colour.
