Has Directions turq always been this dark or was it my base?

Hey peeps. I haven't dyed my hair in a while. I don't want to bleach it right now since the ends are still dry from previous bleachings and I'm terrible at just doing my roots. I previously used Directions plum diluted and it turned blue, which is fine since I like blue. But it's been so long, and the pink part was looking off, so I dyed the whole head with turq and it's SO DARK. I don't mind it, but I don't remember it being so dark. It was used straight out of the pot, which was still sealed before today.

But my base was blue and bits and bobs of pink and purplish-greyish-redish. So was it my base? It's even all over though, even where the hair was light blue.

This was my hair in november and it's faded heaps since. It was mostly a light blue and a patchy light pink on that side. But to give an idea :

So this, but faded even more and lighter with undiluted turq went like this :

(under direct lamplight)

(still lamplight, but further away)

It's pretty and I like it, but it was a surprise.

Yeah, it's got darker. I think some have said it's greener and stains even more now...

It is greener, more like a teal shade. I double checked the pot because for a second I thought I used alpine. But it's not green enough for alpine and I did use turq. I don't mind the stain as I plan to stick around green and blue shades, at least until my hair grows out. But wow, even more staining than it used to?

I wish there'd be statements about the changing formulas or something. It shouldn't be a surprise how it turns out when you've used the same product for years.

Yeah it's definitely changed imo, and it stains like a bitch now, which is very disappointing. Lovely colour though, it really suits you!
