Has anyone had this happen before?

I managed to successfully dye my hair purple ^_^, it was really nice (Hot Purple - Crazy Colour) but I washed it this morning and now its green and blue. (It's a nice combo but I kinda want to keep the purple) Has anyone else had this before? Some parts are very pale green/blonde.

I did manage to get it blonde before adding the hot purple.. I'm a little baffled as to why it didn't last very long. Is it just one of those colours that don't last? If so could anyone recommend a nice dark purple?
Thanks in advance πŸ™‚

Crazy Colour doesn't last very long, but it could be washing out for a number of reasons.

Do you use SLS-free shampoo?  And I notice you say "I did mange to get it blonde"--how, exactly, did you manage to get it blonde?  If your hair is very damaged, colour just won't hold.

When you dyed it, what exactly did you do? Take us through your process, it might give some clues why it's faded so fast.

Hot Purple faded extremely quick down to a teal color for me as well.  It is not a good color, imo.

You can try dying with Directions Plum next time, it lasts a whole month for me until it starts getting to a neony blue
super hard to get out too πŸ™‚

If you want a purple that doesn't fade blue i would avoid Plum like the plague! The blue it leaves behind is impossible to shift. Stick with pink based purples instead.

I highly recommend adore violet gem for a purple that fades pink. It's a really nice purple and doesn't leave a blue stain at all so would hopefully fade to a true purple over your current blue.
