I need to fix up my hair and tomorrow or the day after I plan on dying it a mahogany brown. The internet's so far been pretty unhelpful with how to fix this with video tutorials so I'm turning to forums. Should I leave it on the blond patch in the middle for five minutes extra or???? I have no clue HALP.

I'll be using Garnier Nutrisee (as was recommended by my friend) and I started out as like that color of my roots, tried to make it dark brown, ended up black. I tried to fix it with bleach, and it ended up orange, and then most recently I tried using Color Oops an that's brought me to where I am now. (mind you though this was over several months, I did not in fact do all of that in one go.)
