hello guys! my hair was bright orange but it kept fading really bad so i tried to dye it pink with pinkissimo. my roots went pink, the middle red and the ends ginger so i stupidly bought a box dye to try and even it out. the box dye claimed to be bright red but has made my hair dark brown 🙁 im devestated. im booked in with my hairdresser to go purple at xmas and now im worried that i have ruined it and cant go purple now as my hair is too dark and i need to avoid bleach 🙁 is it still possible? also can anyone recommend what dye is best to use for best results? box dyes should not be allowed to lie on their products im so upset!!

Box dyes don't lie lol but the results are very dependent on your hairs base and history.
It is easily remedied though, just use a reductive colour remover such as Colour B4 or Colour Oops etc
