I'm going back to purple for a bit of a change, I've got a directions plum (new formula), a directions violet and a pot of purple mixed dye (I think it's rose red + violet and possibly a combination of ither left over pinks and purples mixed with a load of conditioner). My current colour is a slightly faded rose red so was thinking of just mixing the whole lot together and putting it in over the existing colour without fading....would this mix give a decently vibrant pinky based purple or would it be too dark??

Do you mean the Plum, violet and the mixed pot all together?
I think the Plum would over power it and be dark. I would mix the others and add a tiny amount of Plum and strand test.
That is a lot of dye BTW, three pots is enough to cover all my hair. Maybe just put some Violet over your current base
