I might be forced to take a job that doesn't allow dyed hair at all (not even dyed to a natural looking color). I really, really, really do not want to take this job (if it is offered) but my current employment situation is abusive.
I'm not sure how to get from a vibrant burnt orange color back to brown-black. My natural hair is very ashy and unflattering. I used to dye it warm brown because it looked so much better on me. I'm allergic to PPD so I'm probably stuck with Adore colors.

I would fade the orange and then just dye an adore brown on top. you said you dont like very ashy color so leaving the orange will help you keep a warmer undertone.
