So, after much research i decided henna was the way to go. Ive already whipped up a batch, i did an allergy test yesterday and another today as it wiped off last night. I now have red raised skin where the henna was  *ott*

I used BAQ henna from the survana website. £15 down the drain.

Has anyone else had this and still used it anyway?

I've only had reactions like that to henna that contains PPD. I definitely would not put that on my head.

Oh man. I dont think there is PPD in there though, the whole point of the website is so that people with ppd allergies can dye their hair. People with far more serious ppd allergies use it successfuly:-( i wonder if it could be the lemon juice i added? The mark is still there now, but not as red.

Too much lemon juice could be an irritant. It is also possible that you're just allergic to henna. There is just so much henna out there with ppd added that I'm always a little weary of it.
