First time purple hair questions!!!

Hi!

I recently dyed my hair purple for the first time! I am really really excited about it, but have a few questions.

My base was uneven. The underside of my hair was totaly white while the top layers had some darker yellow bits. But, i got impatient and went to purple without making it all the same. I used manic panic ultra-violet that was diluted in conditioner. Overall I'm happy with how it turned out. The top layers are more silvery white lavender and the underside is really vibrant blue/purple. I would like it all to be a little more even and use something that doesn't fade as fast as Manic Panic seems to, so I was planning on using Pravana Violet (diluted) on my whole head to make it all more viibrant and maybe less blue? Any tips? Will this work???  Should I try to fade it first? Help!!!

I'vev attached a picture of my bangs/top layer of my hair. Thanks much!!!

Any purple should cover an uneven base as long as it's not diluted too much. Seeing as you're covering purple with purple personally I'd just dye over it without trying to fade.

I agree! I've been primarily purple for about 8 months and in that time I've faded and toned and done all manner of things to get a really even color. The thing is that my hair has different porosity depending on a number of factors. My underside and ends and old highlights are certainly more porus than my roots.

Oops...I meant that you may never get a super even  color or fade. I kind of like the mutitonal look anyway πŸ™‚ I would just dye over it since you are using purple again. πŸ™‚
