I recently procured a tub of Directions Alpine Green from Ebay. However, it's got strange packaging that doesn't match the photo in the listing.
Instead of the splatter design in the gold, or even their old knotwork-looking design, it's solid gold with a circular cutout in the front. The logo's I, R, and N don't drop down below the level of the other letters. There are no spelling errors in the text and it has the unfolding booklet of different languages on the lid. Instead of the "caution" text on other tubs I've used, it talks about "must do's".
It seems unlikely that it'd be a counterfeit since Directions are already so cheap, but I want to make sure first because I don't want to put any unknown chemicals on my skin if I can't verify the origin.
Is this fake or just a really old tub? If it's just old, will it still be effective?
Can you show a photo of the packaging. It's hard to say how effective it will be if it's old. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's not. I don't think they've changed the packaging for many years though, so I'm pretty suspicious myself and I'd be more worried about fake than old. Unless it's super brand new packaging?
Basically, don't get it from eBay if you don't have to. Use beeunique.co.uk π

Thank you for your help! I really should have bought from somewhere like there, I know, I was attracted by the petty matter of saving Β£1.50, aha.
Here are some photos comparing it to a tub of Midnight Blue which I bought about three weeks ago from a physical store and know to be genuine:
Thank you so much!
