Fading highlighter pink roots/experience with flamingo?

Hola

I have returned to the dabbling with colour side once more.

Brief hair history:
Last full head bleach (before this) - June 2014
Dyed 'natural' colour with semi perm - August 2014 (Like that was gonna last...mousy I am)
Chocolate brown semi - Sept 2014
Box dye permanent red - Christmas 2014

I then bleached a fringe section and a section behind the ear to do smurf streaks and dyed the rest semi brown again.

In February I did a really successful Scott Cornwall reverse to go box red.  I did another box red when roots came in May then thought I wanted to go darker and did a box dark brown (xxl) last month.

I hated it.  IDK why.  Weird.  I don't like me dark with a fringe apparently.  So I decoloured again and it kinda re-oxidised.  Boo.

So then I thought sod it, I am having a bleach.  I did 30% cream with the powder, applied to lengths first, added to roots after 20 mins and waited another half hour and washed out.  Wasn't too bad, obv v orangey where the reds have been.  I covered with Flamingo Pink (AP is too much commitment)

Natch the roots are highlighter pink and the length is a mix of bright pink and salmon which is fine.  The thing is, they are fading immediately whereas the roots that bleach up to platinum in a heartbeat are clinging, which is to be expected.

I figure there isn't much I can do beside general fading and maybe spot bleach bathing in a few weeks *or* going multioloured but thought I would ramble here in case I am missing any tricks?

I attach a pic, you can see my neon roots as it is daylight! πŸ™‚
