You will have to keep experimenting until you find the mix that works for you, just bear in mind that any pics of Direction Turquoise are likely to be the old formula.

info that's worth mentioning:

Ends of these hair extensions were definitely the most porous (had the biggest amount of holes in them), grabbed a lot more of the purple toner than the upper parts, and came out gorgeous blue turquoise with no green in it.

So what I might also try is diluting purple semi-perm dye with lots of conditioner, as I presume semi-perm dye stains the hair better than any purple shampoo/toner, get a light purple lavender colour and then apply turquoise over it, which would have no green

Could it be because you toned them to a dark silver that they went greenier? I've always done turquoise over pale blonde/platinum blonde to get it bluey rather than too much green. I've not ever seen results of people doing it over dark silver/grey though I dont think. Or maybe it's just a bad batch of dye or perhaps it is because the dye has changed to a greener formula now like others have said. Perhaps you could post pics so we could see? EDIT - just saw you said you couldn't get a picture to show the true colour

Either way, hope you get it the shade you want!

The pot is definitely blue, no green in it, fades blue when diluted, nothing greenish about it.

My extensions were platinum blonde, but had still yellow in them.

What I'm thinking about now is probably get a violet by directions, dye them light lavender, and then dye them turquoise+atlantic blue, I'll keep you posted guys! and I should be dying one piece at a time, just in case it comes out wrong.

One tip for newbies: the colour you see the dye go onto your hair, that's pretty much the end result, if You see it goes green, it won't magically turn blue πŸ™‚

good luck!

Just putting this out there--I put old formula Directions Turquoise over pale pink hair and it came out a perfect aqua shade of blue.  I know it was suggested earlier to mix with pink, so I just wanted to share that the pink did tone the green out of the turquoise.

Maybe strand test with a bit of pastel pink and see what happens.  I know it was with the old formula, so it might not be the same result, but it could work.

Hmm... ! Don't know if I should stain it with purple or pink now... Purple will neutralise the brassiness, but pink will actually counterbalance the greenness... but won't I end up with orange if I mix pink and yellow?

Thanks Intemp, you're great!

OMG I think I got it you guys!!! I thought a mix of atlantic blue + turq on lavender hair goes a bit green but I just rinsed them and they look almost exactly how I wanted them too!!!

It's this gorgeous clear turquoise-blue without green tones, that's quite bright. The only downside is I used too much conditioner and the result is a bit light for my liking, plus I have to spread my extensions on quite a big surface to get every hair covered.

I think I got it you guyssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, OMG, now I know how to do it on my head and the rest of extensions.

Wish me luck! I'll keep you updated!
