Back in January I dyed my hair Manic Panic Psychedelic Sunset (orange lol) which has now faded to a light orange/peachy colour. I'm thinking if I bleach my hair it would be blonde enough to dye green, I'm looking at Manic Panic Electric Lizard.

What would be the lightest my hair could be? and would I just have to get it the whitest I can?
Any advice would be very helpful xo

There’s no guarantee bleach will remove it. You’d be better off trying a colour remover first. Colour removers aren’t damaging so it’s best to try and avoid damage if you can! If it fails, then you can try a weak bleach bath, no full strength bleach.

You really just need to get the pink tones out. Yellow will help green, so as long as it’s yellow there’s no need to go white, which you should never do anyway. Just tone to white from pale yellow using a purple shampoo if you need white. But the more hints of it being orange (so pink/red tones with yellow) and green will struggle more to not be dirty. Red, therefore pink, is on the opposite of the colour wheel to green so it’ll just make a muddy colour. As yellow is part of making green it’ll be fine.

Having said all that, if it is very pale now, try a strand test and see if it covers. It could well do. The fade might be a bit sickly, but top it up with a little more green and it should be fine.

Basically, there’s no hard a fast rules. It’s different for everyone so what worked for one might not work for you etc.
