Crazy Color Hot Purple - huge thumbs down!

I used Cc Hot Purple two weeks ago. It is gorgeous and and has that super bright intensity that I find in most pink based purples, but with a blue base. I thought it was going to be perfect for me.  But after 2 CO washes it looks like this:

I can't quite capture it in photos, but not only is it fading too fast, it is fading really weird. The first cm of my roots which went the lightest pale blonde, are fading bright pink. A few areas are fading cornflower blue. Some areas are super bright awesome purple, and some areas brown.  Now, I definitely do not have a perfect base, but this is just odd.

Anyway, I am hoping to sort it out a bit. I really want my purple bright, but still blue leaning. Adore African Violet and Pravana Violet seem a little...dull. I have a ton of colors and was curious if I could mix something to make a brighter purple without it being pink?

It's frustrating that's happened and I know this won't help much but I still think your hair looks delicious! I've found with both crazy colors I've used they've taken a while to start fading even though I get a hand full of pink with my shampoo it still looks pretty intense all over whereas the 2 other colours I've had on uneven base have faded in just over a week

Purple is an evil colour!
My only suggestion is to mix your own. I love Directions Neon Blue and Rose Red together, you can control how pink or blue you want it. I also got a really bright and gorgeous purple from Directions Turquoise (old formula) and Rose Red.
I also agree that your fade looks really pretty, but I get how frustrating it is, I can't get a decent fade on mine either.

Ooh, I have Rose Red, and I  can mix my Adore Aquamarine with it.  I will try that!  I can also try the Aquamarine with Pink Rose or maybe Pravana Wild Orchid.

Sorry I have no advice, but I actually think that fade is gorgeous and looks great with the other colours πŸ™‚

I never had much luck with purples either, hot purple being the absolute worst. It would fade a nasty powdery grey in places, making it look like i'd put talc on my hair. Sorry i'm not much help, Directions violet is quite good but you have to have super light roots for it to stick otherwise it just will not take.

I re did it last night using Pravana Violet, Pravana Blue, Ion Lavender and a bit of Adore Aquamarine with lots of conditioner. It came out amazing! See new avatar πŸ™‚
