Just wondering if there is any reason why crazy color didn't dye my roots, didn't touch it at all??

Conditioner could be blocking it, try clarifying shampoo and don't use conditioner then dye.

If you wait too long between bleaching and dyeing the natural hair oils build up and block the dye. Next time bleach and dye very soon after.

You don't need to mix the dye with the bleach. If you wanted to bleach your hair beforehand, towel dry then put manic panic on for a brighter red thats fine.

Bleach is a colour stripper so if you mix it with dye then it'll just strip the colour out as you're trying to put it in. If you're trying to dilute the colour then mix the dye with white coloured conditioner (if the conditioner has colour in it you won't see what shade the diluted dye has gone) and that will give you a paler colour. The trouble is that diluted dyes wash out quicker.

If you're just trying to save time between bleaching and dyeing I'm afraid there's no quicker way. πŸ™
