Cover up for a job interview?

Halloo,

I have a job interview at the end of the month, and want to 'temporarily' cover up my coloured hair, in case I don't get it.

It's Directions Turquoise on top, Spring green underneath, and a bit of virgin rose in my fringe.

Could someone recommend a black or dark red that would cover these and also come out fairly easily? My hair will need re-doing my then anyway so it'll be getting bleach bathed afterwards.

Thanks! =]

Personally, I'd leave it and tell them at the end the hair can be dyed over afterwards. Depending on where you will be interviewing for they may not even care. If you mention it first it stops them from worrying about bringing it up later. Plus they will remember you for your fab hair!

What about using the temporary spray stuff? They have it at most drug stores and also walmart.

Depending on what company/position you're applying for, they really may not even care about your hair color. If it is a place that you think would be against unnatural colored hair though, I would either get a wig for the interview, you could get one of those rinses in a red and one in a warm dark brown to help tone it down a lot, you can use some hair chalk too, then you could just put it up in a bun or chignon and use one of those temporary sprays if it needs a final evening out.

I'd just tie it back so it looks professional and explain that you'd be willing to change your hair colour should you be successful in the interview.

I wouldn't chuck a brown or red semi on it, because it will be a pain to remove and you'll have to start over.  If you really want to cover it up, use a coloured hairspray or a wig.

I agree with Swiks and wear a wig. You can pick up decent looking wig for not too much. Good luck too πŸ˜€

I never had problems with unnatural hair colors in job interviews, not even when i had neon turquoise or pink...they said it'd attract young people πŸ˜€ (and it totally did)

I'd go to the interview dressed in formal clothing and a bun, and mention before they start the interview that you'd be willing to change your hair to a more "natural" color if needed.
The wig could be a total pain in the ass, because they usually look very obvious and can give horrible headaches sometimes... but the hair spray seems like a good idea!

Thanks for the replies!

It's a PCSO (hobby bobby!) job, and unfortunately I haven't seen any in our area with fancy hair wandering about.

The interview is 4 hours long so I don't know that I could put up with the faff and distraction of a wig, but I'd never thought about using a spray colour.

I'm leaving my dozen-or-so ear piercings and my cheek piercing in, so I was already planning to say that I'd be willing to remove them if I was appointed. Not really sure why I think my hair is different to this?!

I'm 26 but look a lot younger and I think I attribute this to my hair, so maybe I'm worried I won't be taken seriously?

Thank you all =]
