Conditioner mixed with adore

When using Adore, I see that it is very liquidy and makes it a bit hard to put on my hair without splasing it somewhere else. I have heard people use conditioner to "dilute" the dye, but someone used it to make it less liquidy. Can I use it without diluting the dye (using paprika and cajun spice)? And if that's the case, what kind of conditioner is best to use? I have only loreal colour protect conditioner currently.

Adore is quite highly pigmented so you can put enough conditioner to make it the consistency you want without it changing the colour your hair will come out too much. I just use really cheap conditioner I have lying around, but someone else might have advice on a particularly good one they use or something πŸ™‚

Yup, just a cheap white conditioner will do the trick. Check to make sure there are no silicones in it first though. They can usually be spotted by their names; avoid ones ending in -cone, -conol and -xane.

I don't feel like the Adore colour takes as well to my hair when I dilute it, but maybe it's just me.  My hair is thick and coarse so maybe it reacts differently.    I pour my colour into one of those plastic containers you get from Indian takeaway and mix it in there, plug the drain in the sink and lay the container in the sink.  Then I sort of lean over the sink a bit and use a colour brush and start mucking it on.  When it drips it all ends up back in the sink, and it's not too bad really!

I just use an applicator bottle for Adore--much more control and virtually no mess.
