Colour far too dark 😩

My hair was a faded deep purple so was pink. Just been to hairdresser this morning for a good cut and colour which she said she would have too cover with a dark brown but it's nearly black!!!
Don't know what to do just leave it and see if it fades Or should I try vit c method to strip it but then I'm scared of the pink coming back through. I wanted a dull brown ideally 😭😭 plus the cut was nothing like I asked for or hoped for , why can't I just leave well alone

What did she use to dye it?

If it came out much darker than expected it was more likely to be an oxidative dye. All dyes fade when put over a bleached base.
Just shampoo it a few times and see how it looks. Avoid vitamin c, it is extremely harsh and drying

Ok will do thank you, head and shoulders best to use?  What about colour b4 in a week or so if it hasn't faded enough?

Yes a colour remover will take all the brown dye out, so you will be back to square one

Hi I have washed about 4 times now and it's slightly faded but I hate it so dark 😭 Everybody is telling me to leave it alone but in desperate to strip it but I'm afraid of doing so Incase I have to do it 3 times and end up ruining my hair as I had planned to get it coloured and stick to it no more messing about like I have been doing for abut a year and a half now!! I've just been looking at old photos and seen my hair a lighter brown and it looks lovely 😭😭
Should I just go for it ? But what if I put a brown in like a ash brown and it doesn't cover the pink ? I can see strand of pink red coming through now! And at the back my hair looks a bit red like a mahogany brown

Colour remover doesn't damage hair, it can leave hair a bit dry that's all.

If you want to remove the colour you will probably still need to work on fading the pink staining before you can dye it a lighter brown. (It is possible that the colour remover will lift some of the pink, but since it was Deep purple it is likely to make it brighter) How pink was it when you put the brown on?

Me on the beach with the pink and then me now with dark hair
I'm just really done with messing about and just disheartened that it's gone so dark

If you really don't want to mess with your hair anymore just leave it to fade. Or go back to the salon and explain that you are still unhappy with the colour
