Colour choice

I wanted to get my hair a light peachy colour. Im now at what I'd describe as apricot after a crap tonne of colour b4 and 2 bleaches so don't think I will ever achieve blond light enough to take peach. My hair is in excellent condition surprisingly. I used a blonde toner & that took the brassy tones totally so very pleased with that

I still need to do something else to it. Is apricot quite a good base colour? What colours could I get over this to even it out nicely? Not red though and not too dark. I am quite inexperienced so be kind lol

Why do you think your hair won't go any lighter?
Can you post a pic of your current colour, it might be light enough to create a peachy shade already.

What did you have before this? Was it dye or natural? How did you get to this?

The bottom one looks like you could get a darker peach like shade, it's actually on the way, but definitely not if it's actually more like the top one.

Hi Janineb

Well before this my hair was literally a bit of everything, box dyed red, brown, black and maybe even a bit of purple thrown in there too.  It was very very dark and flat.  My natural colour was mousy brown.  To get to this colour now I applied 1 colour before and 1 Jobaz, 2 vitamin c treatments and 2 bleaches using garnier truly blonde box kit.  I also put a toner on last night and that really helped calm it down though I cant remember which one it was.

To be fair the top and the ends are like the second bottom picture but the mid lengths are more like the first top picture irl.  There is also some bright yellow blonde underneath which I can only think has gone like that because I'd consistently missed that area when previously dyeing with the dark box dyes so it bleached easier.  It's not actually a bad colour but I always was aiming for the peach colour.  I have apricot and pink directions tubs at home that I am desperate to use but I want it to be right.

Do you think go for a third bleaching?

thanks for your time

Helen

I would recommend using another color remover. You probably still have color from the box dyes in your hair.
You have already bleached twice, another bleach might be too much for your hair.

Thanks Allie, I actually hadn't thought about that route again really but perhaps that is the problem with the mid lengths.  As hair is ok condition at the mo I am loathe to risk it with bleach as so far I've got away with it.

Maybe, after trying another colour remover, consider doing a peach to a darker blondish, brownish peach reverse ombrΓ©.  πŸ™‚
