Hi, hoping for some advice. I've used lots of directions colours on my hair for about 15 years , but I really messed up last summer and bleached to try and remove directions Violet , meaning I had to cut most of my hair off as it went to jelly. (i'm a teacher so I have to have normal coloured hair unless it's summer).
I've bleached the part of my hair I want to color - despite adding bleach to my roots just at the end , they're pale yellow , while the rest is quite yellow with some orangey patches. I have toned with directions white toner with little impact impact. I'd rather not bleach again as I only want to colour it for 5 weeks!
Ideally, I'd like to go back to blonde in September but I realise I may have to dye it red-brown, which would be no real problem .
I have directions apple green and directions flamingo pink. Which of these is likely to work better over a patchy bleach job? Which is most likely to fade out? Or should I ignore fading and just accept I'll need to dye brown? Would either colour work diluted to get a pastel shade? I suspect not due to the orange in my base but thought is worth asking .
Thank you!
Can you add a pic of the current colour?
The pink is more likely to look pretty over a patchy base, the green may go muddy where there is orange. If you can get more dye, a deeper more pigmented shade should cover it. Rose Red is great on uneven bases
Flamingo will cover that well. I don't know about the green as I haven't used it. Strand test!
