i went swimming woth pink hair (it hadn't been dyed in 2months though) and was fine. but you may want a swimming cap just to be on the safe side

I wont go green but chlorine (and sun) can both fade semi-permanent hair dyes much quicker than normal so I agree with Pippa that you may want to get a swimming cap - there are some really funky ones around just now (see links in this post: http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=1534.msg13296#msg13296).

Remember not to go swimming with freshly dyed hair as it's best to wash it a couple of times first to ensure all excess dye is removed - you wont leave a pink trail of dye behind you in the water but the colour may run if freshly applied and you could end up with pink streaks on your skin.
