Brassy Ginger to Auburn help?

Hi lovelies,

So after searching the internet for weeks, I've decided to ask you guys here for help, since I could not find an exact answer to my questions.

I've been dying my hair bright to dark shades of red for the past 2 and 1/2 years, but recently I've let it fade out (see the image attachment below, but a bit lighter and waay brassier).

Now I want to go an auburn color, with a little of an ombre, like these pictures:

I especially love Adore's Paprika dye. My problem is that Adore's a no peroxide dye, so I have no idea how to match up my regrowth with my faded hair (I've never bleached my hair first; I've always used peroxide mixes)

The last time I put Paprika over my dyed hair, the color came out a dark red which faded to a really amazing auburn.

So my question is, how should I bleach/lighten my hair so that the virgin and old hair will come out similar? Is there a way to do it that won't be too damaging? (I'm very fond of my length.)

Or, is there a dye similar to paprika or to these images that I can use with peroxide?

Thank you πŸ™‚

you can do a bleach bath to lighten the hair a shade or two before putting the paprika on, or you can put the peroxide straight on for a few minutes to open up the cuticles. The latter wont lighten the hair as much, if at all, but it helps color to stick on virgin hair.

What colour is your natural hair? If it is darker, then a bleach bath to get it to the same level as your lengths will be required. If your hair is lighter or the same sort of shade as the colour of your lengths pre-softening with just peroxide should be enough.
