Blue going purple 😩

I'm a SFX diehard fan. It's all I've ever used. I've been red, pink and purple. I've recently decided to go blue....to match my Mustang☺️☺️ So I've been using SFX electric blue but it's going purpley for me. I want it to be a true blue and fade slowly to a blue not purple. Although even when I first do it, it tends to look purple to everyone. It irks me only because I want people to know it's blue. Please help with any suggestions on how to achieve a blue similar to my car if possible. Thanks!

The 1st photo is freshly done for the first time, the 2nd photo is color before bleaching tonight. My car is my profile pic.

Are you trying to get the colour to fade using the bleach bath? Bleaching isn't the most effective way of fading semi dyes. Check out the bleaching and lightening hair section for tutorials on the bleach powder and shampoo method and other fading method threads.

That particular blue is very purple based, so to combat that you could either mix in some of a green based blue to that dye or just change the dye you use completely. If you want to stick with special effects then you come of mix in some sonic green which is a very green toned dark blue.

Pavana blue is also meant to be a true blue which doesn't fade purple I think? I haven't actually used that myself though.
