I've had blue/teal hair for a while now but it's never been as dark as I want it. I currently mix a few dyes to get my shade, and what I need now is a blue (or neutral) toned black to mix to darken it.
I asked around and a shopkeeper sold me Directions "ebony" promising it was neutral - well, it wasn't, and the red/brown-based black dye turned my teal mix purple.
Can anyone suggest a cool toned black semi permanent dye? Something reusable - in a pot or resealable bottle. Even a very dark blue-black would work. (I don't mind a dye that makes the mix greyish either - dull teal is good for me too, as long as it's dark).
Thanks~
I use Adores Blue Black, it is a great dye with a lot of blue tones and fades blue/grey. Lasts longer than ebony IME too
