Best hair colour brand for longevity/value

I agree with the longevity of special effects.  *1* I've tried manic panic amplified in ultra violet and rockabilly blue but by the 3rd wk the color is already nearly gone. I'm on my 3rd wk of undiluted special effects pimpin purple and it's still as vibrant as ever.  *yay*

I too, have always had really good luck with Special Effects.  Recently I've been using a brand called Splat.  It's cheep, can be found at walmart/walgreens easily. The dye works really well and has pretty good staying power, but the down-side is it stains everything it touches, and the color bleeds for the first few washes (doesn't really effect the color on your head, but can stain the tub/towels/and your pillowcase if you don't fully dry your hair before bed...also a problem in swimming pools).  I've been wanting to try adore because I've heard good things about it.

Another brand to add to my wishlist. Thanks
