Best Bright/Fire Red Dye??

Hi.
I wanted to know what red dyes have worked well for people. I naturally have dark almost black hair. Over the years I've added different highlights so I have dyed my hair black a good number of times. A few months ago I decided I wanted to go full red and tried to using the L'Oreal Excellence Hicolor in Red, which I had used before to dye my black hair red. Having black hair at the time, I figured it worked once so it would work again. I dyed my hair and my roots were bright red and the rest of my hair was still black. I bleached my hair the following day and dyed it red and the color took. I loved it. Only thing is I have absolutely no clue what color I did. However, I haven't been able to upkeep with my hair recently so I now have about an inch of dark black roots and shades of blonde, orange, and red throughout my hair. What is the best way to achieve one bright red shade?
