I got my parcel with dye from beeunique today, yaaaaay! I was thinking of refreshing my green hair with the green dye tomorrow. But... I washed my hair with bonacure purple shampoo today (keeping the yellow at bay, it's pretty faded) and now I'm wondering if I have to wash my hair again before dyeing or if I can plop on the dye without a wash? I have Adore, Special Effects and Crazy Colour greens, in case the brand of dye matters.
Maybe a really stupid question, but the bonacure makes my hair sooooo soft I'm wondering if it does something to prevent direct dyes from taking. 😉
If not sure or no reply, I'll just wash it before dyeing to be sure. 🙂

even if you didn't use conditioner, don't k ow if you did as you don't say, you'll still have the start of dirt and grease building up that will stop the dye from working properly.
Some shampoos do have silicone in, so it could be that.

Oh, sorry, I didn't use conditioner because the shampoo on it's own makes my hair quite soft.
I'll wash it to make sure it takes the best. 🙂 Thank you.

I was just reading the ingredients. I can't see any silicones, but it has Ammonium Laureth Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate instead of the more common SLS that is quite harsh. ALS is supposed to be cleansing without being drying, so it could be down to just that. I haven't really read too much about the ALS though, so it might be incorrect.
