Base Colour

Heya,

I have decided on Direction Rubine as my next colour as it is a nice point somewhere between pink, purple and red without being totally obvious and in your face (I'm going through a slightly more grown up calm phase, although I'm sure it won't last long!!) and I can also get it locally quite easily.  At the minute my hair is a kind of very dark brown/plummy mixture with a purplish tinge - my initial plan is to do a colour remover followed by a bleach bath to get rid of this (permanent colour - XXL) but I think the best I can hope for is a gingery base.

How would this work with the Rubine - do you think it would cover ok or would I need to add something to it to get a vibrant colour?

TIA
A xXx

Rubine covers unbleached hair well so I think you'll be fine with ginger. It should be a really nice colour. (I'm pretty sure there are pictures of rubine over unbleached hair in the unbleached hair section of the hair dye gallery on beeunique.)

Rubine is a great colour for darker bases, on brown hair it is more red wine/burgundy, on ginger hair it is redder and on bleached hair it is much more pink, and gets brighter as it fades.

Thanking you my lovelies - I'm going to wait a week or two to fade as much as I can and get my roots done all at once and hopefully it will then last til Xmas without needing re-done! πŸ™‚
