I was wondering if anyone has used a Permanent blue dye ?

I have, in the past but can't remember if it's better than semi permanent ones that I have been using, and i have both of them

I want to dye over my sea foam green but I'm certain i want blue from now on, no changing colors anymore, for that matter a permanent one would be better right ? as it's darker, it will have better coverage
I just don't remember what it fades to, I have an idea that it fades rather greyish than greenish
But I don't remember my base ):

What would you recommend ?

I can't really comment on a blue permanent as I've not used one. However, generally, any permanent bright colours are not brilliant. As you say, they fade as well and so really aren't much better than semis, if at all. Not really worth the damage they cause.

Thanks, I think I'll go with the semi one, just thought the coverage would be better for patchiness, as they are more opaque then semi permanent ones

If you're looking for something that sticks well, SFX Blue Velvet (even dilluted to a more mid-blue shade instead of the very inky dark one) went perfectly over my slightly uneven base, was really really stubborn for me and barely faded at all until I actively tried to get rid of it (which wasn't easy either. A few treatments of the shampoo+bleach powder method did the trick though, but nothing else worked.) It might be worth a try for you, though obviously your hair might react differently to it.

There is one pretty much permanent option. Directions Plum. Starts off dark purple, but the new formula seems to fade very fast to a royal blue that seems to stick forever. Bleach doesn't seem to even touch it.

Ion Colour Brilliance Brights blue shades are practically permanent too.

YES! I've used it quite some times, lasts nearly a month until it goes turquoise got compliments on my hair almost everyday, I had half a tub of that and midnight blue mixed them and added a tiny bit of silicon free conditioner hoping it covers my hair  πŸ™‚
But will definitely acquire some more

Can't get a hold of that ): was really just in between a permanent one i have for ages and plum+midnight blue

Thanks so much guys ! sorry for all the questions
