Do you need developer for it? Hows the staying power? Better than competitors or the same? Thanks!
Pravana Vivids does not need developers, it is a true semi. It lasts ages. I am currently fading out my hair - I had put Manic Panic Purpe Haze on, ran out when I got to the last 15% on the underside, so I used my Pravana Violet for the rest diluted a bit with conditioner. My manic panic is almost completely faded out, but the pravana has not shifted one bit.
Oh amazing! It seems a bit expensive plus most places it's shipped so I might try it if its worth it! Back to the drawing board for mixing!
A tub will last you ages though. It is sooo pigmented that I literally mixed a cm with 200ml of conditioner to get a nice vivid purple!
This is a brand I've been meaning to add to the site for a couple of years but never had room to stock it. We're in the process of buying a shop so if that goes through then towards the end of the year we should have this range on the site too 😀
I have been using the silver and I love it a lot, another recommendation here 🙂

Yes, my avatar is about 1 oz Pravana Wild Orchid, 1oz Manic Panic and 4oz Conditioner.

Do you have any pics of the silver? I bought a tube ages ago but was put off by people saying that it was difficult to remove. I can only have my hair none natural colours for school holidays. I have my Lavender ready but silver was my first choice.
the silver looks awesome. we applied it to dark blonde hair & it came out super lovely, despite the imperfect base. the fade has been weird though. in some lights it's a weird mint green, others a perfect ice blue. I think we apllied it neat the first time as well. We'll be doing sams substantial regrowth with tje silver soon, so will get some pictures then (as it's only her fringe atm)

Thanks Pippa. How long did it take to fade to mint/ice blue?
Did you dilute it? Sorry for all the questions ha!
I think we last dyed it 3/4 weeks ago.i think we applied it neat last time (hopefully sam can confirm this when she pops on here) this time we mixed it with wildflower, kpak & lagoon blue.

Thanks for getting back to me, I may do strand test and see what I get neat as my hair is white so the result will differ I guess. Fade sounds feasible seen as I have 6 weeks off. I'm imagining some sort of silver/lavender gradient now!!! Going to look for inspiration pics.
Hey, I just wanted to show you comparison photos of the fade of the Pravana vs Manic Panic. I applied the MP Purple Haze on top and Pravana Violet on bottom about 5-6 weeks ago. They matched almost exactly, first photo was about 4 weeks ago. Second photo is today. I had put the dye on top of the pink base in my avatar, and you can see the MP has almost completely faded out back to that. Hope this helps!
Hey guys! Thanks for the rec, I picked up the violet and red and hope that mixes similarly to my previous Adore purple and red mix. I was thinking of the wild orchid but I have to say, the Pravana swatch book showed a few colors VERY differently from what people are saying it comes out as. I have a photo. The "magenta" in the picture is very close to what I want but they didn't have that one, and also I've seen images of it on hair and it's much hotter of a pink than they show. I found that odd but never the less, here is the pic. Anyone feel these are quite off?
It's been said before that you can't always trust a swatch. Go by people's personal experience--then you have a real-life reference.
