I've wanted to try this colour for a while. I used to love the old Plum, but stopped using it when the formula changed. I remember reading that Alpine Green had changed around the same time, but then changed again. Anyone know it's current colour? I want a dark green that is blue based.
It's probably a little more on the blue teal side now. It's a gorgeous colour but, if memory serves me right, it's definitely still green, but heavier on the blue
However, if you want it more green, just add some green π Do a strand test first, if it's too blue add something like apple green and a smidge of ebony to deepen it.
Thanks! Teal's good for me so I'll give that a try! I used to bleach my hair to a darker yellow to dye my hair dark purple and then dark royal blues. I changed to bleaching it to light yellow instead in order to have lavender hair a few months ago. Unfortunately this appears to have messed with my curl pattern of my naturally wavy hair, so I plan on bleaching back to a darker yellow for now on, I'm bored with the silver/lavenders anyhow and miss my darker colours. Leaving more yellow in my hair should pull the Alpine Green more towards green than blue, with the lighter hair more teal/blue which should make a nice gradient.
I'm currently using Alpine Green on one part of my hair, on the lengths of my hair which are box dye brown it comes out a lovely deep teal/ emerald green and on my natural roots which are dark ash blonde it comes out a very blue toned teal, it's a gorgeous colour though, lasts ages and has a nice fade.
