can anyone tell me which of the adore natural shades in the medium-dark brown range have cool undertones? i've never used their line, so i figured i'd consult the experts! basically, a friend is looking to use a natural semi in a darker shade than her natural color, but wants to avoid a red fade, and would prefer something ashy or golden.
eta-- or if you know of a different brand/shade she should go for that would be better, let me know! all suggestions welcome. π
I was looking at them in the shop the other day and opened the bottles to look closely at the colours
I would say Medium Brown and Dark Brown are definitely green-ash based
Bordeaux is brown-plum (violet-based)
Dark Chocolate is neutral and could go either way as it has a slight violet-rose tint to it but a rich brown
Mocha is more neutral but lighter.. but some have said ash and some say warm so I think it could go either way depending on your base
I really like the Bordeaux and Dark Chocolate and am wondering how they would be diluted or mixed
I have not tried them yet as I found some bottles contain silicone so I am looking for the ones that don't
let us know how you find them
thank you, lingling! i think medium and darkest brown are the ones i ended up suggesting to her based on swatches i saw in another thread, but i hadn't thought of mocha. i'll add that one to the list.
oh and apparently Bordeaux fades to light muted purple
I saw a photo somewhere
you may want to ask her if you find who it is
there are also some faded Dark Chocolate and Mocha on here somewhere so if you do a search you may be able to compare
none of them had a red or orange fade π
I used mocha and my hair went a lovey shiny brown and just faded lighter and lighter brow until back to blonde after a while. Looked lovely all the way through.
