Adore Blue Black over sort of natural brown?

My hair is a mixture of bleached then permanently dyed medium to dark brown on the end one to two inches, and natural roots the same colour. My hair is quite short.

I quite fancy going black for a bit, as I know it suits me. But I'm never going to dye my hair permanently black again ๐Ÿ˜ฎ So I'm looking at Adore, specifically Blue Black. What do we think will happen with the fade? Anyone care to guess how it may fade over the differently treated sections of my hair? I have no experience really of true semis over natural colours!

the virgin roots will wash out much quicker as direct dyes don't stick well to unbleached hair. The rest will probably just fade to a brown with maybe a hint of blue in the sunlight and then it should was out entirely. The blue will not show much over a brown base.

Adore Blue Black fades to a greenish blue, so I would guess a greenish fade on brown hair

I recently dyed my hair with Adores blue black. My hair isn't permanently dyed but was bleached, so went the obvious blue black, my roots however which are a lightish brown didn't take any of the blue they just came out a solid black. Might not matter to you but thought I'd give you a heads up as at first when I dried my hair was abit annoyed I had 3 inches of plain black roots lol.

I got a similar problem. The previously dyed bits are black - not blue black, just black - and the roots are dark brown. Bother.

Any suggestions for a black that will actually work on virgin hair?
