Just out of interest, how stainy are the various Adore Black dyes? And which ones of them fade warm?
ive only used jet black which fades a brownish color and blue black which fades a bluish silver color. Not sure if they have any others. Jet black is a much darker black than blueblack.
I have used the blue black and I mixed with violet but I got a very blue color. The last time it faded quickly but I think I used less black. Now I used more but it's been recent so I can't say how long it will last. It didn't actually stain the counter as much as pravana, and it comes out of skin pretty quick. I see a few drips on the cabinets but overall less stainy and less strong. I got the pravana black recently but haven't tried it.
I'm thinking Jet Black might be better if it fades brown then... I keep getting tempted to try black but I know I won't suit it so I think I need something that will fade nicely!
blue black might be a better choice for you then as it fades blue and then silver. I have darkened it a bit by adding a few drops of jet black and it still maintains its blue fade. I am not a fan of brown fade so i tend to use that only to darken the blue black.
The only problem with blue black, as Lauralei has the same colouring as me, it has the same effect as purple I've found. Making me look super ill!
I think you'll suit a soft black.
Indeed Janine, whilst a silvery blue fade sounds lovely, we have discussed before about how purples and greys are not our friends with our skin tone! I'm definitely considering a soft black with a brown fade, (I probably should have mentioned that my hair has a mid brown base anyway, so I wouldn't be trying to fade back to bleach).
