I know we don't have a lot of photos of Adore on hair yet (if you have some please submit yours at www.hairdyegallery.co.uk), so I figured I'd show what the two colours I currently have look like on white paper to give an idea of how they will appear over yellow/blonde/etc hair, as well as what the fade will look like.

Currently it's Crimson and Wild Cherry, but I should have a few more soon and I'll do the same!

They are both lovely! How long you been using adore now? And how long as they lasting?

This is a much less messy technique for testing colours than mine.... i usually test my new colours on the back of my hand, usually when i'm still in work! Turquoise got the best reaction when i told my colleagues that it was hair dye

Yes!  It's so very liquidy, nothing at all like SFX or Directions!  I just put a couple of drops on the paper.

This was only my second application of Adore, so not for very long!  The first one lasted about three weeks before my pale yellow roots went a mighty magenta/fuschia colour and my orange base on my lengths started to show through, but I did dilute it quite heavily with conditioner in an attempt to make it a creamier mix for easier application.  This time I applied it neat with an applicator bottle, so hopefully it lasts a bit longer.

I like trying out colours on white paper; gives a realistic sense of what the base is like and how it will fade over a pale yellow base.

Photo to come, but for the rest of the Adore reds:

Ruby Red is a very bright true crimson with a hint of a pink base.
Truly Red is a *very* orange red and bright--similar to Directions Vermillion.
Raging Red is a dark purpley pink.
Intense Red is a very dark red, almost the colour of red wine, with a pink base.
And Raspberry Twist is a slightly brighter version of Raging Red--a medium purple-pink.

I tried to take a picture in rare sunlight, but indigo blue hasn't came out as purple as it actually is. It's base is so heavily purple that when I used it I was scared even as I was washing it off that it was gonna be purple and not the inky blue it came out. Adore Mocha is heavily green based, I just have no pictures of that one. Dark Chocolate is like a burgandy/reddy/purple tint.

Raging Red may qualify as an alternative to my beloved but cannot stand the transfer problem Rose Red!

Yeah, I freaked out when I poured Indigo Blue into a bowl and saw how purple it was! Even when I left it on my hair, it stayed really purple and I wondered if the right colour was put in the bottle!!!

But it went a proper electric/sonic the hedgehog type blue πŸ˜€

I have to say, transfer from Adore has so far been minimal.  Slight pink rub off on lighter pillow cases and shirt collars, but that stops after two or three washes.  SFX and Directions reds, however, would often give me pink hands/faces for the first week!

It also seems to come off of my skin/bathroom surfaces really easily.

Has anyone had any experience with these dyes and grey hair? My poor aunty is allergic to permanent dye and she wants to try a semi but they need to cover greys. Thanks in advance πŸ™‚
